Sigenergy DC coupling

The DC-coupled architecture used in Sigenergy’s SigenStack (for industrial and commercial applications) and SigenStor (for residential, office, and retail use) offers significant advantages over traditional AC-coupled systems.

In a DC-coupled system, the direct current (DC) electricity generated from solar panels is stored directly in the battery—without the need for immediate conversion to alternating current (AC). This reduces the number of energy conversion steps, minimizes power loss, and results in higher overall system efficiency.

DC coupling is a smarter, more efficient, and cost-effective energy solution for the modern energy landscape.

High Energy Efficiency

DC coupling eliminates repeated energy conversions, making it up to 2% more efficient than traditional AC-coupled systems.

Simplified Architecture

Thanks to its DC-coupled design, the system requires fewer components — such as PV inverters, AC combiner panels, or medium-voltage stations — resulting in a simpler, more reliable solution.

Lower Capital Costs

DC-coupled systems reduce CAPEX (capital expenditure) by minimizing equipment needs and simplifying installation.

Maximized Solar Utilization

Storing solar-generated DC power directly into batteries improves energy usage efficiency and reduces dependence on the grid.

Advanced EV Charging Integration

Sigenergy systems support bidirectional DC charging, enabling your electric vehicle to serve as a backup energy source through:

  • V2H (Vehicle-to-Home)

  • V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid)

This unlocks smarter, more flexible energy usage at home or in commercial applications.
